Ronaldo- The Reindeer Flying Academy by Maxine Sylvester

A young reindeer named Ronaldo, dreams of becoming an elite flying reindeer one day like his hero, Vixen, and join Santa’s hand-picked North Pole Reindeer team.  Saturday’s are his favorite day of the week, not because it’s the one day his Father cooks for the family (not such a good cook) but because it’s the day he attends flying school!

When Ronaldo arrives at flying school that day, he is greeted by Dasher, Comet and Prancer who tease him about his unique name.  Ronaldo is delighted to see his best friend Rudolph! Their instructor is Wing Commander Blitsen, whom Ronaldo likes very much. She is the highest ranking member of the Reindeer Air Force. They compete in an endurance challenge, the winner receiving a silver cup engraved with “Reindeer Flying Academy Award of Excellence – Endurance”. The current record holder just happens to be Vixen, Ronaldo’s hero. If one of the reindeer breaks the record held by Vixen, they win the prestigious “Golden Wings”. Will Ronaldo win?
